OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, September 22, 5 - 7pm
This will be the gallery’s fourth time showing Lucy Mink's work as she joins us in the Center gallery space. Her work is abstract and daring, and in it we find a depth of meaning that is unique and moving. “I am consumed by combinations of color and form as a visual, abstract diary of my life, where time does not belong to me, but to others. I am frequently organizing their things while they dance. I am in a situation.” Mink has showed widely across the United States including solo exhibitions at David Findlay Jr. Gallery, Outlet Fine Art, BAG Gallery, and many others. She is a grant recipient from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, and received the award for Best of Show from BAG Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.
She is a current Artist in Residence at Dartmouth College this fall. Lucy Mink will be having an artist talk at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, in Loew Auditorium, Black Family Visual Arts Center in Hanover, NH. Opening reception to follow in Jaffe-Friede Gallery, Hopkins Center for the Arts. Lucy Mink's exhibition at Dartmouth College will be on display September 18 – November 13, 2018, in Jaffe-Friede Gallery. Click for more info on her residency ⟶
