“The
paintings in this show have all been done since March of this
year. I am continuing with my method of dragging through wet
paint, letting it dry, painting over it and doing the whole
process again. I have combined harder shapes with the more
fluid work that I have been doing for the
past few years.
The drawing, I’ve Been Thinking About An Omlet, was
done the week before my father died in March. His name was
Amor, the infinitive, ‘to love’, in Latin. I have
declined the verb.”
—Nancy Taplin, September 2007.
